In a sunny jungle, Momo the Monkey lived on a giant mango tree by the river. He was famous for tossing the ripest mangoes to Casper the Crocodile, who lived in the water below. They were the unlikeliest of besties!
One evening, Casper’s grumpy wife whispered, “If he eats those sweet mangoes all day, his heart must taste like honey! Bring him to me.”

Casper felt bad, but he invited Momo for a “Secret Island Party.” Momo hopped onto Casper’s bumpy back, and they splashed into the deep water. Suddenly, Casper sighed, “Momo, there is no party. My wife wants to eat your heart.”
Momo’s tail twitched, but he stayed cool as a cucumber. “Oh, Casper! Why didn’t you say so? I leave my heart in a hollow branch at the top of my tree so it doesn’t get wet while I jump!”
The silly crocodile turned around and raced back to the shore. The moment they touched land, Momo scrambled up his tree in a flash. He looked down and shouted, “Casper, you can have my mangoes, but you’ll never get my heart—or my trust—again!”
The Moral: In a tricky spot, a calm mind is your best weapon.
